Family, Fun & Food @ Whānau Day

Thank you to all the whānau who came to support Te Puia Whānau Day. Despite the rain it was a huge success with around 2000 people coming to enjoy the kai, cultural performances, tāonga puoro, tā moko, treasure hunt and many more activities on the day.

Māori Language Week Webisodes @ Te Puia!

In celebration of this year's theme 'Te Reo i te Hapori – Māori Language in the Community' we will be launching 6 webisodes over the course of the week!
They'll all be in Te Reo Māori and will share a very special piece of Te Puia and Māori Culture:

Meet our New Education Manager!

We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Mercia Yates (Te Arawa, Ngāti Tūwharetoa, Ngāti Maniapoto, Rongowhakaata, Te Aitanga-a-Mahaki) as our Education Manager. Mercia brings with her a wealth of knowledge from across the education sector from an operational and strategic perspective. She is a well known local talent that will transform the shape of education at Te Puia.

Te Puia is committed to developing a significant presence in the education market and in becoming an education destination for learners of all ages.
